Thanks to our policy of financial transparency, to the rigour with which we raise funds, and to internal controls of our commitments, Frères des Hommes has been approved by the Comité de la Charte, since May 2000.
Frères des Hommes submits its annual accounts to both a chartered accountant and an auditor.
To implement its development projects and to carry out its actions, Frères des Hommes disposes of two principal sources of funding :
1.Donations from some 12 000 donors, individuals or companies who display in this way their support for the social commitments of Frères des Hommes. Each donor receives a fiscal receipt attesting to his donation no later than 3 weeks after his cheque is received. This receipt enables the donor to deduct 66 % of the amount of his donation from his income tax, up to a ceiling of 20% of his taxeable income. Donors who are automatically debited received a fiscal receipt once a year.
2.Co-financing from national and international organizations (Minister for Foreign Affairs, local and territorial authorities, the European Union), obtained upon (( dossiers techniques)) established by Frères des Hommes.
We receive other resources, from legacies and inheritances, various subscriptions, revenues from events organized by Frère des Hommes and from the sale of products.
Respect and moral commitment are the key words that link Frère des Hommes to its donors and to its partner institutions. The Association sends out a full yearly report on its activities. The yearly report for 2007, composed of a policy report and a financial report, is freely accesible via on our website (click here), or at our headquarters.
