Rwanda in pictures - Natural compost to diversify the food
That morning of November, in Nyabimata, South Rwanda, fifty men and women farmers form a circle around the future site of a compost heap. They’ve assembled everything they need to set it up; now they’re ready to learn the procedure. Farmers in Rwanda and the organization Adenya are developing a food-producing agriculture that would enable the population of the country to eat more and better, while respecting the ecological balance of the region.
