Organization

Frères des Hommes is a charitable organization created in 1965, under the law governing non-profit associations. State-approved since 1988, we are an NGO, and have no political or religious affiliations.

Since May 2000, Frère des Hommes has been approved by the Comité de la Charte, the controlling body for public fundraising organizations.

Frères des Hommes has 150 members in France and its territories; individual members or team members fall under one of the 13 local teams.

At headquarters in Paris, there is a team of 12 salaried employees and volunteers. Abroad, 2 volunteers for international solidarity are now assigned to partnership organizations.

The President and administration are elected by members at the General Meeting. The Executive Board numbers 11 people.

We regularly report on our activities to members, donors, and partner institutions via certain publications. Moreover, in June, a yearly report is published (Policy, Activity and Financial Reports).

Luc Michelon, President of Frères des Hommes

Activist of the local team in Bouffémont since 2005, Luc Michelon, 43, has been president of Frères des Hommes since January 2008. He was recently reelected for another term of one year. We contribute to sustainable projects in order to fight poverty in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
