Organization
Frères des Hommes is a charitable organization created in 1965, under the law of July 1st 1901 governing non-profit associations. State-approved since 1988, we are an NGO, and have no political or religious affiliations.
Since May 2000, Frère des Hommes has been approved by the Comité de la Charte, the controlling body for public fundraising organizations.
Frères des Hommes has 150 members in France and its territories; individual members or team members who form part of the 13 local teams.
At headquarters in Paris, there is a team of ten salaried employees and volunteers.
The President and administration are elected by members at the General Meeting. The Executive Board numbers 14 people.
We regularly report on our activities to members, donors, and partner institutions, via certain publications. In June, a yearly report is published (Policy, Activity and Financial Reports).
Frères des Hommes in Europe
Frères des Hommes is present in three European countries outside of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy. Frères des Hommes functions independently in each country and adheres to the common association "Frères des Hommes Europe". Solidarity in the Fight against Poverty
Founded in 1965 by a group of donors and social activists, Frères des Hommes is an association for international solidarity recognized for its role in global development. We contribute to sustainable projects in order to fight poverty in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
